School in Quang Nam sends students to Japan to work after graduation

On the morning of November 29, Quang Nam College held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2023 - 2024 with the motto "Practical learning, practice, steady start-up for a bright future".

The school is determined to continue to innovate and improve the quality of training; promote the completion of the curriculum to serve training work; innovate teaching methods, in order to create conditions for students to exchange, study, practice and intern at businesses effectively.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Quang Nam College will enroll more than 1,600 full-time secondary and college students. Currently, the total number of students in the school is 3,800; nearly 500 students in university and postgraduate joint classes and nearly 1,000 students in elementary and vocational training classes.

Training and scientific research also achieved encouraging results when over 92% of students achieved good or better academic results and over 90% graduated with honors.

Notably, the number of students graduating from the school each year who are accepted to work by businesses is over 95%. In addition, the school has also issued 45 training programs at all training levels; has 5 international publications and nearly 30 works and articles published in domestic scientific journals and national conferences.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh, Principal of the school, said that the 2022-2023 school year is the second year after the school merged from 6 vocational schools in the province.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, gave a speech at the opening ceremony.

"The last school year was the second consecutive year that the school led the competition among universities and colleges in Quang Nam province. The school is the only unit in the province that the Provincial People's Committee proposed to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to add to the list of schools implementing the project 'Developing high-quality schools' until 2025...", Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh said.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, assessed that in the past school year, Quang Nam College has made many efforts, constantly innovated management work; improved the quality of teaching and learning; effectively implemented the goals and tasks of education and training; and actively contributed to the overall achievements in socio-economic development of Quang Nam province.

"In particular, recently, the school has connected and cooperated with many large businesses and corporations to send students to work in Japan after graduation. This is really important, marking a major step forward in the school's training quality," Mr. Tuan emphasized.

Signing cooperation between schools and businesses

On this occasion, Quang Nam College awarded 20 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) to 20 students with difficult circumstances who have made great efforts and are studying at the school. In addition, dozens of students of the school also received many scholarships sponsored by 24 organizations and businesses with a total amount of 250 million VND.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province awarded a certificate of merit to the collective of Quang Nam College for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in the 2022-2023 school year, contributing to the socio-economic development of Quang Nam province.

In addition, the title of excellent labor collective was awarded to 4 school collectives for their outstanding achievements in the 2022-2023 school year and certificates of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to 4 individuals who have excellently completed their tasks from the 2021-2022 school year to the 2022-2023 school year.
