On the morning of June 1, Regiment 266, Division 341 (Military Region 4) held the oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers in 2023. Attending the oath-taking ceremony were leaders of Division 341; leaders and Military Commands of Yen Thanh, Que Phong, Nghi Loc districts (Nghe An) and Tho Xuan, Nong Cong, Nghi Son town (Thanh Hoa).

In 2023, Regiment 266 was assigned to receive and train 360 new soldiers in 6 districts and towns in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces. Having a firm grasp of the Division's plans and instructions on military recruitment, the Regiment proactively developed plans and deployed them to agencies and units, selecting experienced and highly responsible cadres. Organized and assigned specific tasks to each delegation and each comrade to participate in the infiltration and selection of new soldiers. At the same time, closely coordinated with district military agencies and sought the support of local leaders, authorities and people. The infiltration process was carried out in accordance with the Law on Military Service and regulations of the Ministry of National Defense. All new soldiers in 2023 were guaranteed to have good qualifications, health and political standards.

After 3 months of training, the new soldier training program achieved good results; soldiers were equipped with basic knowledge of military, politics, logistics, and technology as a basis for continuing to train new, higher-level content in the following period. The first step was to build the personality of a revolutionary soldier in each soldier, creating conditions for comrades to quickly integrate into the new environment and always have the awareness to cultivate morality, practice etiquette, and truly become soldiers in the Vietnam People's Army.
