Maintaining the high standards of GPHG, combined with Vietnamese culture, the exhibition displays 90 watches nominated in 15 award categories at the GPHG 2024 awards ceremony.

Through storytelling, the exhibition highlights the heritage and innovation behind each watch. In addition, watch experts will introduce the story of each watch, providing an interactive and engaging experience for visitors.

According to Mr. Raymond Loretan - Chairman of the GPHG Foundation and Ms. Carine Maillard - Director of the GPHG Foundation, the first GPHG exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City will be an important milestone in contributing to raising awareness of the fine watchmaking profession in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The exhibition not only displays 90 nominated watches in 2024, but also hopes to contribute to promoting the development of the watch industry in Vietnam.

“By showcasing watch masterpieces, this exhibition will inspire and educate watch collectors and enthusiasts. We believe that the exhibition will stimulate interest in watch collecting and can promote the development of watch brands and retailers in Vietnam. Promoting the watch industry and its culture is our mission,” said Mr. Loretan.

GPHG representatives also expressed their hope that in the future there will be Vietnamese watch brands competing for GPHG awards.

GPHG 2024 is organized by The Hour Glass - one of the world's leading professional watch retailers, owning more than 60 stores in 14 cities across the Asia-Pacific region.

With a team of leading experts and a mission to spread and elevate watch culture, The Hour Glass has organized GPHG exhibitions in cities: Singapore (Singapore), Sydney (Australia), Bangkok (Thailand) and most recently in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2023.

Ho Chi Minh City is the stopover before The Hour Glass continues its journey to New York (USA), Geneva (Switzerland) and Bucharest (Romania). This year's GPHG awards ceremony will be held in November at the Léman Theatre, Geneva, Switzerland.

Sharing about the long-standing relationship between GPHG and The Hour Glass, as well as the two parties' shared mission in elevating watch culture, GPHG representative emphasized that The Hour Glass' presence and influence in Southeast Asia is an important factor to ensure the success of GPHG exhibitions.

Through the cooperation with GPHG at this exhibition, The Hour Glass also hopes to bring inspirational educational initiatives; contributing to promoting Vietnamese youth to explore different careers related to watchmaking, learning to appreciate the beauty, technicality and artistry of watchmaking.

The exhibition will take place at: Ho Chi Minh City Theater, 7 Lam Son Square, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
