Deploying the "Digital Literacy" movement among Vietnamese youth

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union has just announced that this unit is deploying the "Digital Popular Education" movement to all levels of the union nationwide.

The movement has specific contents such as propagating and raising awareness among all classes of people, all levels of the Association, members and youth about the "Popular Digital Education" movement; organizing "Popular Digital Education" classes both in person and online; establishing "Popular Digital Education" teams with youth as the core to propagate and support the popularization of basic knowledge and skills in information technology to people and children, guiding people to access the Internet and essential digital skills, participating in reputable e-commerce platforms, using appropriate digital platforms, etc.

The movement will be implemented in the period 2025-2027. In 2025, the peak implementation will be focused on Youth Month and the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union will organize pilot models in areas with special conditions such as densely populated areas; remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, islands; industrial zones; areas lacking technological infrastructure...

According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the beneficiaries of the promotion are people who need to learn, update and improve their knowledge about digital transformation (youth, students need to be equipped with digital skills for studying, researching and working; officials, civil servants and public employees need to update digital knowledge to serve their work; laborers, workers and farmers need to improve their digital skills to adapt to work and access e-commerce; the elderly, people in rural, remote and isolated areas or people with little exposure to technology...).
