Deploying the North Hanoi Smart City project

On November 11, in Dong Anh District (Hanoi), Bac Ha Noi Smart City Development Investment Joint Stock Company (NHSC) - a joint venture between BRG Group (Vietnam) and Sumitomo Group (Japan) held a ceremony to announce the implementation of the Bac Ha Noi Smart City project. This is an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1973 - 2023), expected to become a new symbol of the Vietnam - Japan friendship.

Located in the center of the planning of both sides of Nhat Tan - Noi Bai route, the North Hanoi Smart City project has a land use scale of nearly 272 hectares, located in Vinh Ngoc, Hai Boi, Kim No communes of Dong Anh district.

With a total investment of about VND94,348 billion (USD4.138 billion), the project will apply the quintessence of the world's 4.0 industrial revolution, aiming for a sustainable city model through green living and the application of modern technology, where people are not only customers using services but will join hands to build a sustainable community as owners of the city.

Perspective of Smart City North Hanoi

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Honda Yukihito, Global Senior Executive Officer of Sumitomo Corporation, said that the North Hanoi Smart City project is positioned as a very important project for Sumitomo Corporation and its strategic partner, BRG Group. "We hope to realize a world-class urban center that will lead the way for the new era of the ASEAN region," Mr. Honda Yukihito expressed.

"It is expected that this will be a long journey, possibly lasting many years, but we have achieved a vision of a modern, classy, ​​beautiful smart city, oriented towards green growth, where people develop sustainably for many generations. What we need is enthusiasm, effort and determination to work together to complete each milestone on that journey," said Ms. Nga.

NHSC donated 1 billion VND to build 20 solidarity houses in Dong Anh District

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, stated that this project was formed from the results and consistent efforts of the Governments of Vietnam and Japan, and is a concrete symbol of the friendship between the two countries.

According to Mr. Tuan, the project has an important location on the central axis of Vo Nguyen Giap Street connecting the city center, West Lake area to Noi Bai International Airport; has a 108-storey financial tower in the list of key projects approved by the Hanoi People's Council, a large-scale design project demonstrating new, creative ideas and technology of international stature.

The project is expected to contribute to solving the capital's current major infrastructure problems such as transportation, energy, education, health care, and environment; contributing to the basic indicators for developing Dong Anh District into a district and the future northern city according to the direction and policies of the Politburo.
