Deploying preparations for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army

On the afternoon of December 2, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to deploy preparations for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024). Colonel Nguyen Trong Nhi, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command, comrades who are heads of Departments, Offices of the Provincial Military Command and related units.

According to the plan, the commemorative activities will be organized solemnly, meaningfully, practically, effectively and economically with main activities such as: Defense Exchange between the two provinces of Thanh Hoa (Vietnam) - Hua Phan (Laos); meeting with retired senior military and police officers in the province; exhibition "Proud of 80 years of glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army"; organizing sports competitions; incense offering and flower offering ceremony to report to President Ho Chi Minh and pay tribute to heroic martyrs; cultural exchange with the theme "Proud of tradition, continuing the feat, worthy of the name "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and awarding prizes in the Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Trong Nhi, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, highly appreciated the agencies and units that have recently organized many meaningful and practical activities that have had a strong influence on the entire armed forces. Organizing activities on the occasion of December 22 is very important to educate officers, soldiers and people of all walks of life to deeply understand the heroic tradition of the Army and the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers over the past 80 years.

He also requested that agencies and units in the coming time should proactively review and continue to organize activities in a strict and thoughtful manner, ensuring solemnity, meaning, efficiency, economy and absolute safety. In addition, it is necessary to focus on promoting emulation movements to win, creating strong changes at all levels, especially changes in political awareness, ideology, law enforcement, discipline, improving the overall quality and fighting strength of the provincial armed forces, contributing to building a strong national defense and an increasingly solid people's security posture.
