The Farmers’ Association of Ky Son District (Nghe An) has just donated 26 breeding goats along with food, vaccines and raising techniques to 5 poor households in Huoi Le Village, Keng Du Commune. This is one of the practical activities to support people in economic development, improve their lives and gradually reduce poverty sustainably.

Specifically, 5 poor households in Huoi Le village (Keng Du commune, Ky Son district) were given 26 breeding goats along with food, vaccines and raising techniques, with a total value of more than 100 million VND. In addition, relevant units also provided guidance on basic raising techniques, helping households develop effective raising models.

Being a remote and extremely disadvantaged border area of Ky Son district, supporting breeding goats for poor households in Keng Du is an effort to promote livestock farming, improve income and improve the quality of life of people in the border area, where there are still many difficulties in economic development. Thereby, contributing to showing the concern of local authorities and organizations for people's lives, at the same time promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community.

Previously, in Phuc Son commune (Anh Son district), Phuc Son Border Guard Station organized a ceremony to present 7 breeding cows to poor households in the Cao Veu border area. Specifically, in Veu 2 village, 1 household; Veu 3 village had 5 households and Veu 4 village had 1 household receiving the gifts. The total value of the program was 100 million VND. The above amount was supported by the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Activities to provide livelihoods for people in border areas, helping disadvantaged and poor households have more conditions to develop their family economy, escape poverty sustainably, achieve the goal of reducing the rate of poor households in the area and ensuring social security, maintaining the "people's hearts" in border areas.
