This is an activity within a series of events to welcome the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, term 2024-2029.

The Provincial Red Cross Association awarded scholarships for the first quarter of 2024 to 104 students. Each student received a scholarship worth 3 million VND. In addition, the People's Committee and the Red Cross Association of Thu Dau Mot City also awarded each student a gift worth 400,000 VND.

This year, the Provincial Red Cross Association plans to implement a scholarship program for students in difficult circumstances and at risk of dropping out of school across the province. Accordingly, 1,025 scholarships will be awarded with a total value of VND12.3 billion, each worth VND12 million/year.

Scholarships will be awarded quarterly to students. In Thu Dau Mot City alone, 124 students received scholarships, with a total value of nearly 1.5 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot City presented a symbolic board of support of 100 million VND to the City Department of Education and Training to award scholarships to poor students in the area.
