Within the framework of the opening program of the week "Healthy to build and protect the country", responding to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" launched by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, 3 players Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Thanh Luc and Pham Canh Phuc were honored. Quyet Chien and Thanh Luc are 2 excellent names in the 3-cushion carom billiards category, while Canh Phuc competes in the 1-cushion carom category.
In 2023 and 2024, Vietnamese 3-cushion carom billiards has achieved many successes. Notably, Tran Quyet Chien, the number 1 player in Vietnam, won a World Cup championship in 2023 (in Porto, Portugal), won a silver medal at the World Championship held in Ankara (Türkiye), and rose to number 2 on the world rankings. Up to this point in 2024, the player born in 1984 has won 2 World Cup championships (in Bogota - Colombia and Veghel - Netherlands) and at one point was ranked number 1 on the world rankings. Quyet Chien also won the World Team Championship with Bao Phuong Vinh in early 2024.

Tran Thanh Luc is a rising star of Vietnamese 3-cushion carom billiards. He caused a big surprise when he defeated a series of strong opponents, before winning the silver medal at the 2024 world championship in Binh Thuan in September.
Pham Canh Phuc competes in 1-cushion carom and won the gold medal at the 2024 Asian Championship.
Tran Quyet Chien has just won the 2024 Veghel World Cup in the Netherlands, thereby increasing the total number of crowns at the World Cup arena to 4.
