In the match of round 32 - men's 3-cushion carom event of the 2024 HBSF Billiards Championship held at noon on December 14 in Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Quyet Chien won convincingly against the reigning world runner-up Tran Thanh Luc. In round 16, Tran Quyet Chien continued to face another formidable opponent, Chiem Hong Thai. Vietnam's No. 1 player made Vietnamese billiards fans admire.
