The Steering Committee of component project 2 of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 construction investment project has just reported the results of land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement of the Ring Road 3 project.
Accordingly, Binh Chanh district has a land area of nearly 146 hectares, with 393 cases affected. To date, 146 cases have handed over the land with more than 121 hectares (reaching a rate of more than 83%). The amount of compensation paid is more than 346 billion VND.
Thu Duc City leads the compensation and site clearance expenditure for the Ring Road 3 project with 1,147 billion VND.
Hoc Mon district has 271/332 cases of land handover with an area of 91/99 hectares (reaching a rate of 92%). The compensation amount is more than 1,128 billion VND.
248/408 cases in Cu Chi district have handed over land with an area of 50/65 hectares (reaching a rate of 76%). The compensation amount is more than 906 billion VND.
Thu Duc City has 94/556 cases of land handover, with an area of 48/100 hectares (reaching a rate of 48%). The compensation amount in Thu Duc City is 1,147 billion VND.
Thus, there have been 759/1,689 cases of land handover, with a total area of over 310/410 hectares (reaching a rate of over 75%). Of which, there are 62 cases in 4 localities handing over residential land.
Previously, on May 5, Cu Chi district was the first unit to pay compensation, support, and resettlement for people affected by the Ring Road 3 project passing through this district. Hoc Mon district paid from May 6; Thu Duc city on May 8; Binh Chanh district implemented last, on May 9.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City Vo Trung Truc, the land area directly managed by the state, organizations, and localities has been recovered.
Of which, Thu Duc has 35 hectares, including nearly 15 hectares of land directly managed by the state and more than 20 hectares managed by 4 organizations. Cu Chi district has 10.5 hectares of land directly managed by the state. Hoc Mon district has 12.5 hectares of land directly managed by the state. Binh Chanh district has more than 91 hectares, of which more than 16.5 hectares of land is directly managed by the state; 5 organizations manage more than 36 hectares and people have contracted more than 38 hectares of land.
