According to Mr. Dung, regarding the compensation issue for the Ring Road 2 project, in early November, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City held a conference to collect public opinions on the draft compensation, support and resettlement plan; including the compensation unit price.

Mr. Dung said that most households agreed with the project's policy, some households requested to review the inappropriate compensation price.

“Thu Duc City People's Committee has accepted and requested the consulting unit to re-survey the current situation, collect more information... to make appropriate adjustments,” said Mr. Dung.

For households that have not agreed, according to Mr. Dung, the city has established working groups to contact and persuade them to accept compensation. In cases beyond their authority, recommendations will be made to the City People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies to find solutions.

Mr. Dung added that Thu Duc City is urgently completing compensation documents and will start paying people about 7,500 billion VND in December.

The Belt Road 2 project affects 1,166 households, with compensation of about 7,600 billion VND.

According to the compensation price, the frontage area of ​​Pham Van Dong Street has the highest price at 111.5 million VND/m2.

The location with the lowest compensation price is land in alleys of 100m2 or more on Road No. 4, Road No. 8, Road No. 11 (Truong Tho Ward) with 28.3 million VND/m2; Road No. 22 (Phuoc Long B Ward), Road 79 (Phuoc Long B Ward) with a price of more than 26.4 million VND/m2.
