In particular, 2025 is a time of many particularly important events and milestones. The City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee have determined the theme of the year: "Expanding economic and urban space; promoting specific mechanisms and policies; enhancing green transformation and digital transformation" - This demonstrates the highest determination and action towards the city's green transformation goal.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Le Tien Chau emphasized: Hai Phong has taken actions to protect the environment, however, compared to practical needs, it is not enough. Therefore, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has assigned the relevant agencies to research and develop a green transformation project for the city. From there, there will be a deeper and more meaningful awareness, highlighting the necessity and finding a strong and comprehensive solution for the entire political system and the city's people to participate. Aiming for the goal of not only being economically strong but also for people to live in a green, clean and beautiful environment.

At the workshop, delegates discussed and exchanged the content of green transformation implementation in the area with specific areas such as: Hai Phong City Green Growth Action Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision 2025; pioneering green transformation in industrial parks; green energy conversion, reducing carbon and methane emissions of Hai Phong construction industry; green transformation orientation in Cat Ba Island...

Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung emphasized: Hai Phong has made an early green transformation, focusing on the industrial and transportation sectors... For example: Vinfast Company has switched from producing gasoline cars to electric cars; Sun Group Joint Stock Company has invested in Cat Ba cable car; industrial parks have invested in solar power systems and deployed a bus system to pick up and drop off workers; wind power has been built in Bach Long Vi island district... However, the green transformation in the area is not widespread and synchronous; there are no policies and mechanisms to encourage and motivate units and enterprises to make green transformation.

Therefore, to urgently carry out the green transformation task, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to absorb the discussions at the Workshop to complete the Green Transformation Project of Hai Phong City for the period 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, and submit it to the City People's Committee before April 10. Cat Hai District coordinates with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to advise on the issuance of a new Resolution on green transformation and green tourism development specifically for Cat Ba, to be submitted in the third quarter of 2025. The relevant departments develop policies and mechanisms to encourage organizations and individuals to participate in green transformation, focusing on industrial production, transportation, logistics, energy, tourism, etc.
