(NLDO) - General Secretary To Lam met with outstanding overseas Vietnamese returning to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday and attend the "Homeland Spring" program in 2025.

On the afternoon of January 19, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam met with outstanding overseas Vietnamese returning to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year and attend the "Homeland Spring" program in 2025.

The Homeland Spring 2025 program with the theme "Vietnam - Rising in the new era" takes place from January 18 to 20 with many rich and meaningful events.

This is an important cultural-political event, attracting special attention from the overseas Vietnamese community and is always awaited by overseas Vietnamese every time Tet comes and Spring comes. This year's program attracted the participation of about 1,500 overseas Vietnamese delegates from all over the world returning to their homeland to celebrate Tet.

Previously, on the afternoon of January 18, a delegation of outstanding overseas Vietnamese participated in the Local Connection program in Hung Yen province.

On January 19, a delegation of overseas Vietnamese visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, laid flowers at the monument to heroic martyrs, offered incense at Kinh Thien Palace, attended the carp release ceremony with the President and his wife, and attended the ceremony to present the decision to recognize the national treasure.
