According to data from the General Department of Customs, as of December 15, 2024, Vietnam's total export value reached 385.35 billion USD, an increase of 13.9%, equivalent to an increase of 46.92 billion USD...
On December 20, information from the General Department of Customs said that the latest preliminary statistics showed that the total value of Vietnam's import and export of goods in the first period of December 2024 (from December 1 to December 15, 2024) reached 31.48 billion USD, down 3.5% (equivalent to a decrease of 1.16 billion USD) compared to the results in the second half of November 2024.

The results achieved in the first half of December 2024 brought the total import-export value of the whole country by December 15, 2024 to 747.13 billion USD, an increase of 14.7%, equivalent to an increase of 95.98 billion USD in absolute terms compared to the same period in 2023.
Of which, the total import-export value of enterprises with foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 504.43 billion USD, up 13% (equivalent to an increase of 58.19 billion USD).
In the first period of December 2024, the trade balance of goods had a deficit of 760 million USD. From the beginning of the year to December 15, 2024, the trade balance of goods had a surplus of 23.57 billion USD.
Regarding exports, the total value of Vietnam's export goods in the first period of December 2024 reached 15.36 billion USD. Thus, by the end of December 15, 2024, Vietnam's total export value reached 385.35 billion USD, an increase of 13.9%, equivalent to an increase of 46.92 billion USD compared to the same period in 2023.
Of which, some commodity groups increased such as: Computers, electronic products and components increased by 14.38 billion USD, equivalent to an increase of 26.6%; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts increased by 8.54 billion USD, equivalent to an increase of 20.8%; textiles and garments increased by 3.29 billion USD, equivalent to an increase of 10.4%; wood and wood products increased by 2.63 billion USD, equivalent to an increase of 20.6%; footwear of all kinds increased by 2.35 billion USD, equivalent to an increase of 12.21%... compared to the same period in 2023.
