The regional defense exercise (KVPT) of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province took place over 2 days, August 8 and 9, under the direction and management of the Military Region 7 Exercise Steering Committee. The exercise framework of the province and districts and cities has completed 3 phases, 10 training issues, 14 contents... achieving the set goals and requirements. The unit has thoroughly grasped and effectively applied the documents and instructions to perform local management tasks in national defense situations.

The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and departments, branches, sectors, organizations, armed forces from the provincial level to districts and cities have proactively overcome difficulties, actively done well all preparations and conducted the exercise in accordance with the content, program, plan, ensuring absolute safety of people, weapons, equipment, and technical means. Through the exercise, the professional level, command style, mobility... of the forces were raised; coordination between departments was ensured closely; situations were handled quickly, according to tactical requirements...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Defense Exercise, requested the Provincial Military Command to coordinate and inspect the supplement and completion of the system of documents on the construction and operation of the Provincial Defense Exercise; to do a good job of preparing for the second phase of the actual combat against the enemy landing by sea, and to proactively coordinate with Regiment 88 (Division 302, Military Region 7) to organize coastal defense exercises in the coming time.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the task of the provincial KVPT exercise in 2023.
