With the orientation of developing high-quality tourism, following the program to promote attracting MICE tourists, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City has issued a plan to develop wedding tourism as well as deploy a pilot program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang from the beginning of 2024.
Immediately after its promulgation, the City Department of Tourism has stepped up the promotion of wedding tourism and piloted a program to attract wedding tourists to wedding event units, domestic and international tourism businesses at major tourism fairs such as VITM Hanoi, ITE HCM, Tourism Expo Japan, SATTE India...
Representatives of the Department of Tourism had direct working sessions with major wedding event companies in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, India, and Korea to introduce infrastructure as well as the Pilot Program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang.
In addition, the Department of Tourism successfully organized the Da Nang City Wedding Tourism Development Conference 2024; Vietnam Wedding Tourism Conference 2024 "Da Nang Wedding Tourism - Opportunities and Challenges"; Organized to welcome 2 international famtrip wedding planner delegations to survey Da Nang wedding tourism in June and December 2024.
In 2024, the Department of Tourism will advise and organize about 50 domestic and international wedding events from markets such as India, Australia, Japan, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Malaysia, etc.
In particular, Da Nang was chosen as the venue for the wedding of four Indian elite couples with over 1,200 guests, dozens of formal ceremonies and unique, impressive activities. This is a testament to the attractiveness and potential of Da Nang city in attracting this type of wedding tourism.
Recently, on December 15, the bride couple Lavania and groom Kuramaguru also received a warm welcome from Da Nang city as part of the pilot wedding tourism program to Da Nang.

In 2025, Da Nang city's tourism industry, major hotels in the city and wedding event planning companies continue to record many orders for international weddings, signaling strong growth in wedding tourism.
This shows that the city has had the right strategy in investing in developing wedding tourism products, contributing to affirming Da Nang as one of the leading destinations for this unique type of tourism in Asia.
