According to Dan Tri reporters, on the morning of September 28, at least 7 garment enterprises in Thuan An City (Binh Duong) had human resources staff standing in front of the company gate to receive job applications from employees.
Most businesses offer quite attractive income levels, from 7-15 million VND/month, but require workers to have experience and know how to sew.
At Dong An Industrial Park, there are at least 6 textile and garment related businesses in need of workers. Among them, Leading Star Vietnam Garment Joint Stock Company needs to recruit 1,000 sewing and inspection workers. In front of the gates of the 2 factory areas, there are personnel sitting to receive applications.
The staff receiving the application said that the company only recruits female workers, if male, they must know how to sew and have skills to be accepted. If the application is qualified, the employee will be hired on the same day.

The young man from Soc Trang said he used to work as a garment worker at two different companies in Binh Duong. Before that, including overtime, he earned 7-7.5 million/month, which was enough to cover his expenses because he was still living with his parents. Recently, because the company ran out of goods, the male worker had to quit his job.
"Through my sister who is working here, I learned about the company recruiting, so this morning I came to submit my application and waited to be called for an interview to start working right away," said the young man.
Staff of another company in Dong An Industrial Park with 100% foreign capital specializing in manufacturing and processing all kinds of handbags for export said that the company is recruiting a large number of people but they must know how to sew, they will accept all the people.

"The salary here is about 6 million/month, if you work overtime, the income will be better. The company does not require a degree, if the application is qualified, after 1 day the candidate will be called for an interview and start working the next day", this person said.
Many other textile companies in Dong An Industrial Park are also recruiting about 500 people.
Collect all orders of only 100 products
On September 21, answering the press at an event about the garment industry, Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - President of Binh Duong Textile and Garment Association - said that there are no potential customers like before, so businesses have to find small customers to maintain their factories.
Previously, orders of 500 products were all rejected by businesses, but now orders of 300 or even 100 sample products are accepted immediately.
The current difficulty the garment industry is facing is human resources. Previously, skilled workers' salaries were 13-15 million VND/month, but the decrease in orders has caused workers' income to drop by 40%.

The decline in income has lasted for 9 months, making it difficult for workers to make ends meet. Many have had to quit their jobs to return to their hometowns, and a large percentage will not return to the city.
In addition, skilled workers also change jobs continuously if other businesses have orders and pay high salaries. Therefore, the textile industry is always in a state of labor shortage.
According to information from the Binh Duong Province Employment Service Center, a number of other textile and garment companies are also recruiting workers, such as Prominent Garment Company Limited (Dong An Industrial Park, Thu Dau Mot City) needs to recruit 100 people; Hoa Son Garment Trading and Service Company Limited (Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An City) needs to recruit 300 skilled sewing workers...
Leather shoe and wooden furniture manufacturing companies are also in need of recruiting large numbers of 500-1,000 employees, but the number of companies posting recruitment is not much. Most companies only need to add 10-50 workers.
