(Dan Tri) - On New Year's Eve, two children in Di An City (Binh Duong) were hit by fireworks, one child suffered burns on his hand, the other child suffered burns on his face.
According to Ms. D.HS, who lives in alley 207, Cay Da street (Tan Binh ward, Di An city), near New Year's Eve, there were fireworks on Cay Da street, so her two children, a boy named P.D.NP (13 years old) and his younger sister named P.D.NT (5 years old) went to watch.
A few minutes later, Ms. S. discovered her child crying, with injuries and burnt clothes. The son told his mother that the two brothers were hit by fireworks.
According to Ms. S., a few minutes after the incident, Tan Binh Ward Police arrived, took her two children to the hospital for first aid, bandaged their wounds and recorded information.
The incident caused Ms. S's son to have burns on his hand and her daughter to have burns on her face.
Ms. S. said that everyone in her alley had gone back to their hometowns, only a few houses remained so no one was setting off fireworks. At that time, the alley opposite was setting off fireworks so the two children ran to watch.
"I heard my son say that they left the firecrackers on a chair and lit them. The chair fell over, causing the firecrackers to fly all over the street and hit the two brothers. No one wants this to be an unfortunate event, but until now, the family who set off the firecrackers still hasn't come to ask about the two children's situation," Ms. S. was upset.
On January 29, Tan Binh ward authorities visited the two victims to inquire about their health and to verify the incident.
