Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization Thanh Hoa Branch (TYM Thanh Hoa) has been actively mobilizing women and communities to practice savings, promoting savings activities in regions where TYM operates, contributing to spreading the message conveyed by World Savings Day (October 31): "Save today - Bright tomorrow".

Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet in Tan Phong town, Quang Xuong district has been a customer of TYM for more than 14 years. She borrowed the first capital from TYM of 4 million VND to sell breakfast. Before joining TYM, she only knew how to collect money from selling goods to rotate capital. Therefore, she never thought of a savings plan to accumulate assets for her family. However, when she joined TYM and got her first loan, the staff of TYM Thanh Hoa branch shared and advised her about TYM's savings service, the types of savings and the deposit amount suitable for her family. She decided that every week, in addition to the principal and interest of the loan paid on time, she would also pay an additional 20,000 VND/week in compulsory savings and 100,000 VND/week in voluntary savings without a term. Gradually, when her income was stable, her cash flow was better managed and her business was more favorable, she increased her savings to more than 2.1 million VND/4 weeks of non-term savings. She considered this amount as an accumulation for unexpected situations.

TYM’s activities have created conditions for women to save, including 4 types of savings: compulsory savings, savings by contribution, voluntary savings without term and term savings. The benefits of the types of savings products that TYM Thanh Hoa is implementing are very practical for many people, especially those with low incomes.

Many women with more money can save 100,000 VND - 200,000 VND/week, each round will be a few million VND, after a few rounds like that, they can save a decent amount of money to accumulate in the family.

In particular, during the peak days of World Savings Day, TYM Thanh Hoa branch transaction offices have applied many methods to spread meaningful messages about savings, encouraging women to practice savings and deposit savings.

Transaction Office 01, TYM Thanh Hoa branch is currently operating in 22 communes and wards of Nghi Son town with a total of nearly 9,500 women who are TYM customers. The savings balance here has reached nearly 81 billion VND. Head of the office Le Thi Hoa said: Transaction Office 01 is promoting communication activities about World Savings Day to customers and people in areas where TYM operates. During the implementation process, the office has received a large number of customers coming to participate in saving with flexible deposit levels and attractive interest rates. At the clusters, the minimum deposit level is 20,000 VND/4 weeks; for transactions of 1 million VND or more when participating in depositing at the transaction office, customers will receive a gift of gratitude such as a piggy bank, an umbrella to protect against the sun and rain... From small gifts, TYM staff hope to spread the message to customers as well as TYM members about the meaning of accumulating assets for themselves and their families in the future.

Up to now, the mobilized savings balance at TYM Thanh Hoa branch has reached more than 219 billion VND, of which nearly 5 billion VND was mobilized during the peak period of launching the program in response to World Savings Day (from October 27, 2024 to present).
