At the time of reception, the pitta was in normal health. Accordingly, this bird species was identified with the scientific name Pitta nympha, discovered and captured by Nguyen Van Anh Kiet, a 9/2 student at Phu Thuan Secondary School (Phu Vang) on his way to school. Immediately after that, he reported to the authorities and voluntarily handed it over with the hope that the bird would be released back into the wild soon.
The Red-bellied Pit-tailed Bird is one of the rarest and most precious birds in Vietnam today. This is a very beautiful bird, about 16-19 cm long, with colorful feathers.
After receiving, the units will take care of and complete the procedures according to regulations to release this rare and precious bird into the natural environment.
