Standing Committee of Provincial People's Council held July session

Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the draft report on experience assessment of the 15th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council, term XV, 2021 - 2026; report on the results of implementing tasks in July, key tasks in August 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Resolution on establishing a thematic supervision delegation in 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on "Implementation of national target programs on new rural construction in the period of 2021 - 2025, sustainable poverty reduction in the period of 2021 - 2025, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021 - 2030" in Dien Bien province.

Basically, the delegates attending the meeting agreed with the draft contents, some opinions clarified related issues, and participated in the document format.

Commenting on the draft report on experience assessment of the 15th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XV, 2021 - 2026, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Duc Toan emphasized that the implementation of reading reports in images is in line with current trends and requirements. At the same time, he pointed out some shortcomings and limitations regarding the issue of the time to send official documents being slower than the announcement; the issue of People's Council delegates participating in meetings with voters being absent.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Lo Van Phuong requested the Office to receive the delegates' comments and edit and complete the report. Regarding the monitoring program, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council agreed to conduct monitoring in 8 districts, except Dien Bien Phu city and Muong Lay town.
