The highest Tet bonus in Hanoi belongs to a foreign-invested enterprise (FDI) with 205 million VND, half that of last year.
On December 27, the Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs reported on the 2023 salary situation, the Lunar New Year and Quy Mao bonus plans of four groups: single-member LLCs with 100% state-owned charter capital; joint stock companies with state-controlled capital, private enterprises and FDI enterprises.

Specifically, for a one-member LLC with all charter capital held by the State, the highest bonus for the Year of the Dragon is 20 million VND, the lowest is 500,000 VND per person, equivalent to the bonus of last year.
For joint stock companies with state-owned controlling capital, the highest bonus is 29.8 million VND, the lowest is 500 thousand VND, while last year it was 35 million VND and 550 thousand VND per person, respectively.
After 3 consecutive years of being at the top, the Tet bonus of private enterprises this year has decreased sharply, the highest is 90 million, the lowest is 500,000 VND, while last year it was 400 million and 500,000 VND per person.
The bonus level of FDI enterprises also decreased compared to last year but was at the top of all groups, the highest was 205 million, the lowest was 500,000 VND, while last year it was 280 million and 500 thousand VND per person.
Tet bonus is not a fixed amount stipulated in the labor law, it is not mandatory but depends on the production and business situation of the enterprise. Tet bonus in Hanoi partly reflects the difficult situation of the economy in the past year when the highest bonus is half of last year's.
Up to now, about 30 provinces and cities nationwide have announced Lunar New Year bonuses, of which the highest, nearly 5.7 billion VND, belongs to a Japanese-invested enterprise in Long An, and the lowest, 20,000 VND, is in Ca Mau.
In addition to the above record bonus, the highest bonus amount in localities has some fluctuations. Quang Nam has the highest bonus this year at 636 million VND, 1.9 times higher than last year - 340 million VND.
In addition to Hanoi, some provinces also have the highest Tet bonus decreased sharply compared to last year such as Binh Duong (from 896 million to 366 million VND), Can Tho (from 138 million to 96.3 million VND).
