On August 15, information from the People's Committee of Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province said that it had grasped information spreading on social networks about images of the national flag appearing densely on the roofs of houses in Quan Lao town, Yen Dinh district.

Immediately after receiving the information, the District People's Committee verified it. Initially, it was determined that the image on social media was not true. This image was photoshopped by a local citizen, pasted on rooftops, and then posted on social media.
The district People's Committee said that the authorities have drawn up a record and requested the account owner to remove the images from social networks.

Previously, on August 14, social networking forums were flooded with information about images of the national flag painted on roofs in Quan Lao town, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province.
The images that were circulated showed that almost every house had the national flag painted on it, even on the roofs of government buildings. The incident caused a stir on the online community.
