Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on 7 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off for National Day in 2024.

On November 3, the Government Office issued Document No. 8662/VPCP-KGVX conveying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's opinion on Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024.

Specifically, the Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on Lunar New Year holidays from February 8, 2024 to February 14, 2024 (ie from December 29, 2023 to January 5, 2024) and National Day holidays from August 31, 2024 to September 3, 2024.

Thus, in 2024, there will be 7 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off for National Day.

The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to notify administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises and employees about the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024.
