Speaking with key officials of the province, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged that in 2025 and the following years, the country will face many development opportunities, along with many challenges. The General Secretary agreed with the general development orientation of Nam Dinh province, emphasizing 4 groups of issues that the province needs to focus on implementing.
Firstly, the province needs to continue to enhance the Party's leadership role, including innovating the Party's leadership methods. "All policies and resolutions of the Party must be implemented to the grassroots, to each Party cell and Party member, to create a routine and unified action, not to let the resolutions remain only on paper," General Secretary To Lam said, emphasizing the need to focus on doing well the work of preparing for the organization of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
Second, the province needs to continue to effectively implement the policy of streamlining and streamlining the apparatus, aiming to serve the people better and better. The General Secretary highly appreciated Nam Dinh province's plan to use surplus headquarters for educational and medical purposes, and for community activities. "We should not let the situation of a large commune have its children go to school far away," the General Secretary noted.
Third, Nam Dinh province needs to continue to focus on implementing solutions to boost socio-economic growth. According to General Secretary To Lam, the province's economic structure must develop in the direction of increasing the rate of industrial and service development, reducing the rate of agriculture. The structure of the agricultural sector also needs to be calculated. "We must calculate how to ensure enough land for the goal of ensuring food security for a province of more than 2 million people, with contributions to the Government, reserves, and the remaining land must be reserved for other growth targets, for innovation and creativity," General Secretary To Lam suggested.
General Secretary To Lam also noted that Nam Dinh province must continue to focus on developing the fields of education, health, culture, physical education, sports, and environmental protection. According to the General Secretary, the goals set must be very specific. “Not only do we need to calculate how many doctors there are per population, but we must also ensure that each person can visit a medical facility at least once a year, and not let people get seriously ill before going to the hospital,” General Secretary To Lam noted.
According to the General Secretary, currently, land is becoming increasingly scarce, so Nam Dinh province needs to promote training and vocational training activities, helping the province's workers to be trained and taught vocational skills so that they can work in many other fields. With more than 2 million people, developing higher education in the province is very necessary, but the province must build strong universities to attract students.
Fourth, the province needs to continue to focus on performing well the task of ensuring national defense and security. According to General Secretary To Lam, Nam Dinh province has a large number of religious people and a tradition of doing well in religious solidarity. This is the foundation for social solidarity and national solidarity. Therefore, the General Secretary noted that the province needs to always focus on doing well in this work, not allowing religious conflicts to occur.
Regarding the province's proposals and recommendations, including the request to add the LNG Port planning, some energy projects, and resolve problems at the My Trung Industrial Park, General Secretary To Lam assigned Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha (member of the working group); assigned the Central Party Office to receive and respond specifically to the province in writing; and resolved any issues that could be resolved quickly.
General Secretary To Lam believes that with the tradition of solidarity and unity, the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Dinh province will successfully carry out the tasks and goals set. On the occasion of preparing for the New Year, the General Secretary wishes the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Dinh province to achieve many new achievements; wishes every family and every person of Nam Dinh good health, happiness and prosperity.
