NDO - As scheduled, the 39th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place from November 14 to 15 (reserve on the morning of November 19) at the Tan Trao meeting room, National Assembly House. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver the opening speech and, together with the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, will take turns presiding over the content of the session.
At this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and give opinions on the following contents:
1. On law-making work
During this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee spent a lot of time giving opinions on explaining, accepting and revising the draft laws: Law on Value Added Tax (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; Law on Electricity (amended); Law on Public Investment (amended); Law on Health Insurance; Law on Notarization (amended); Law on Geology and Minerals; Law on Data; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Securities, Law on Accounting, Law on Independent Audit, Law on State Budget, Law on Management and Use of Public Assets, Law on Tax Administration, Law on National Reserves.
At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered and gave opinions on submitting to the National Assembly for approval the proposal to appoint judges of the Supreme People's Court and considered and approved the draft Resolution on appointing members of the National Council for Selection and Supervision of Judges.
2. About supervision work
The National Assembly Standing Committee will consider a number of resolutions to implement the Law on Organization of People's Courts in 2024.
3. On deciding important issues
The National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and decide on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of 12 provinces and cities: An Giang, Dong Thap, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, Son La, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Tra Vinh, Vinh Phuc.
