NDO - On the afternoon of February 1, in the bustling atmosphere of the first days of the Spring of At Ty and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), continuing the program of inspecting a number of key traffic works in a number of southern provinces and cities, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and inspected the construction progress of the T3 Passenger Terminal project at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City).
Also attending were comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; and representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches.
After inspecting the construction site and giving instructions at a meeting with ministries, branches, Ho Chi Minh City, investors and contractors, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the determination of relevant units to complete this project on April 30, 2025, 3 months earlier than the original plan (September 2, 2025).
Up to now, through inspection, the Prime Minister feels secure about the project, the main equipment systems have been installed. However, from now until the inauguration, there is still a lot of work to be done, it will take a long time to complete, therefore the Prime Minister requires the investor, contractors, and related units to continue to focus on urgent efforts to complete the remaining items.
The Prime Minister also thanked the Ministry of National Defense for being ready to give up land for the project; thanked the relevant ministries and branches for actively participating in the smooth implementation of the project up to now; thanked the households for giving up land and premises for the project; thanked and congratulated the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) for growing through the projects.
The Prime Minister stated that we can be proud that after 16 months, we have overcome many difficulties, "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", working "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "only discussing work, not discussing back", working through Tet and holidays, having done things that we were skeptical about at first, through this we have more confidence and courage to be determined to complete Long Thanh International Airport before December 31, 2025.

The Prime Minister stated that the Government Office will issue documents with the spirit of "5 clear" to complete Long Thanh airport; continue to design phase 2 of Long Thanh airport and assign ACV as the investor of phase 2; if any contractor does well in phase 1, work will be assigned in phase 2.
The Prime Minister was pleased to learn that Ho Chi Minh City has chosen Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport as one of the 50 typical projects of the City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

According to the Prime Minister, the only problem now is the existing construction of Division 370 in front of the station, so the Prime Minister requested Ho Chi Minh City and the Ministry of National Defense to agree on a location to quickly carry out site clearance work; apply urgent conditions and procedures for quick movement.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Construction to immediately start accepting the project to put it into operation soon; review and prepare for final settlement, not to prolong; create a green, clean, beautiful environment; review to ensure that the number of households that have to relocate to a new place of residence have a better life than the old place of residence; review the issue of wastewater, waste, environmental sanitation, ensuring "bright, green, clean, beautiful", not to pollute the environment.

The Prime Minister noted that in the Passenger Terminal, units need to re-check the overpass systems, aircraft parking lots, lighting, air conditioning, fire prevention, fire fighting, telescopic tubes, conveyor belts, baggage conveyors, X-ray machines, etc. before putting them into operation; study the shortest and most convenient way to move between terminals T1, T2 and T3, etc., all must be well prepared for the inauguration of the project on April 30, 2025.

The Prime Minister also directed the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to act fairly and equitably, creating healthy competition among airlines for aircraft parking slots. According to the Prime Minister, to ensure double-digit growth in the future, the investment speed for key transport projects must be further shortened to ensure efficiency.

* Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project at the Nhon Trach Bridge connecting Dong Nai province with Ho Chi Minh City. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.

Speaking at the construction site, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that he welcomed Ho Chi Minh City's active implementation of the project; requested efforts to complete the project by April 30, 2026; and at the same time, complete the dossier of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Project to submit to the National Assembly, along with recommendations on necessary mechanisms and policies to quickly implement the project. The Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Transport and Ho Chi Minh City should review the expressway and metro line connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Long Thanh airport.

For Tien Giang and Ben Tre, the Prime Minister requested the Government Office to promptly issue a notice to the two provinces to provide sand mines to Ho Chi Minh City for the construction of this road; strictly handle those who make mistakes in granting mines. The Prime Minister noted that it is necessary to ensure construction safety in the context of the hot and dry season; pay attention to the lives of engineers and workers; and that localities do a good job of resettlement for the people...
* In the evening of the same day, on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation, in Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh offered incense in memory of the late Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and visited and wished a Happy New Year to the family and relatives of comrade Phan Van Khai.

The late Prime Minister Phan Van Khai was an outstanding leader of the Party, State and people, a loyal communist party member who fought all his life for national independence, freedom and people's happiness. As the head of the Government, comrade Phan Van Khai made many important contributions to the reform of the legal system and the country's integration, especially in the economy.
