These are also the only children's apparel products present in the Vietnam Goods Week 2023 program co-chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi People's Committee, in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and Aeon Group organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Ms. Luu Le Thuy, owner of the Haki brand, shared that Haki's presence in Japan as well as the high appreciation of Japanese partners for Haki's designs is truly a source of pride.
Mentioning products of Japanese origin means mentioning "quality". The Japanese are famous for their meticulousness, carefulness, and thoroughness in choosing products. "Making quality products, meticulous in every detail, always "thinking of the user" when designing products... has been Haki's motto since its inception" - Ms. Luu Le Thuy said.
Designed from natural and high-quality materials such as bamboo fabric, modal fabric, linen, etc., Haki products are very soft, light, sweat-absorbent, environmentally friendly and especially suitable for the delicate skin of newborns. Haki is a combination of the two English words "Happy" and "Kids" = Happy children. Ms. Thuy said that she wants to work with parents to take care of babies, helping them to always be comfortable, happy and joyful when wearing safe, soft clothes.
After many years working for a large telecommunications corporation, 5 years ago, Ms. Luu Le Thuy decided to start a business with children's clothing products. Explaining her decision to "turn around", Ms. Thuy said that after many years of volunteering at the VEMBA5 Charity Fund, she had the opportunity to travel to the northern mountainous provinces to give gifts to preschool children and realized that most Vietnamese children were wearing low-quality clothes.
"Having a passion for sewing since I was a child, I decided to quit my job to start a business with children's clothing products, with a burning desire to help babies wear cool, safe, and soft clothes. In particular, I have the ambition to make mothers with young children aware that choosing safe clothes is just as important as choosing safe food for their children," Thuy shared.
Although it has been established for nearly 5 years, Haki has experienced a 2-year pandemic and the following year was the global economic recession and the textile industry was most severely affected, "business is extremely difficult, but I still persistently pursue my dream, dreaming of a day when every baby across Vietnam will be wearing high-quality, soft and safe clothes".
Vietnam Goods Week 2023 in Japan is one of the large-scale activities organized in 2023 to implement the Project "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution systems by 2030" of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as aiming to bring the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the Aeon system to 1 billion USD by 2025. Through the Project, many types of Vietnamese products that meet high Japanese standards have been imported by Aeon and put into consumption at hundreds of supermarkets in the Aeon system.
In September 2020, Haki appeared in the Canadian market and had a good effect on consumers here. The Guardian - a major newspaper in Canada reported the appearance of this fashion brand as an inevitable trend - the trend of eco-friendly fashion - Eco-friendly Fashion, of sustainable living - sustainable living.
Appreciating the opportunity to introduce Vietnamese garment products at Aeon mall, Ms. Thuy said that Haki will re-evaluate the current situation as well as resources, from which to plan to prepare for "landing" in the Japanese market.
