The 5G Base Station equipment of Viettel High Tech Corporation under the Military Telecommunications Industry Group (Viettel) has recently been officially awarded the Certificate of Conformity by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Information and Communications.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Director of the Department of Telecommunications - Ministry of Information and Communications, assessed: In the context of the world entering the fourth industrial revolution with the foundation of 5G technology, owning and mastering this technology will help Vietnam improve its competitiveness, promote socio-economic development; especially creating favorable conditions for the development of new industries, such as: Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data. This is an important milestone in the development of the country's telecommunications technology, affirming the maturity and creativity of the telecommunications industry, while promoting the commercialization of 5G in Vietnam.
To date, Viettel High Tech is the first unit in Vietnam to be certified for the National Technical Regulations on 5G Mobile Information Base Station Equipment: QCVN 128:2021/BTTTT for gNodeB 32T32R and gNodeB 8T8R base station equipment. This is a 5G product "Made in Vietnam" manufactured in accordance with the requirements of safety, quality and performance, meeting the technical standards and national regulations of Vietnam. In particular, Viettel has a team of engineers responsible for the product and works closely with units to improve the product and handle problems when the network has errors as quickly as possible.
Currently, Viettel is capable of providing a full set of solutions for 5G networks from core networks, transmission networks and radio access networks as 5G base stations. 5G base stations play an important role in the telecommunications network infrastructure, with Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation owning all hardware and software, the entire process from research, design to production. In the past year, more than 300 gNodeB 8T8R stations and 10 gNodeB 32T32R stations have been deployed in 4 provinces and cities: Ha Nam, Hanoi, Da Nang, Ninh Thuan. The stations operate stably, ensuring smooth network operation. In the coming time, 5G Base Station products will continue to be completed to meet Vietnam's digital transformation needs, aiming to bring "Made in Vietnam" technology products to the international level.
