Another scholarship fund for medical students

The Scholarship and Talent Promotion Fund was established to encourage and support poor students with good academic performance, students with excellent achievements in studying, scientific research, and starting a business; creating conditions for students to have a better learning environment and equipment in the fields of training at the school.

The fund management board consists of 9 members with the task of developing and implementing plans, scholarship programs, sponsorships, and investments of the fund, organizing propaganda and fundraising activities; supporting subjects according to regulations and performing other tasks specified in the organization and operation charter.

Launching the Scholarship and Talent Promotion Fund of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy

On this occasion, the Scholarship and Talent Promotion Fund of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy received a sponsorship of 5,000 USD from Mr. Lee Jae Dong, abbot of Maisan Tapsa Pagoda (Jinan District, Jeollabuk Province, Korea); awarded volunteer certificates to students who participated in the humanitarian medical examination and treatment program, and gave charity gifts with the Jeonbuk - Vietnam Exchange Promotion Association in Cu M'gar District (Dak Lak) in November 2023.

According to Professor Cao Tien Duc, Principal of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy , the school was established in 2014 (initially named Buon Ma Thuot University, and renamed Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2022). The school currently trains in 4 majors: medicine, pharmacy, nursing and public health; interdisciplinary medicine and pharmacy; training in internal medicine and surgery.

The fund management board received funding from Mr. Lee Jae Dong (middle) from Korea.

Up to now, there are 4,374 students studying at the school, of which 1,660 have graduated as medical doctors and pharmacists. Every year, the school awards scholarships to the top students of the new admissions courses in the training majors; rewards excellent and good graduates; scholarships for students who overcome difficulties to study well; scholarships to encourage learning... The total value of scholarships awarded to students to date is more than 4 billion VND.
