At 8pm, instead of hanging out at a cafe like usual, Minh Tuan and his group of friends in Duong To made an appointment to go to the night market. The newly opened market in Hoang Hon Town, An Thoi is about a 10-minute drive from home but has become a familiar hangout and has brought this group of friends home much later than usual.

The feeling of walking around the coastal market, wandering around shopping, watching fireworks, and listening to live music is not only new to Phu Quoc residents but also especially attractive to foreign visitors.

“I was surprised that Phu Quoc has a night market like this, everything is great, delicious food, music, friendly and open people. The street show is also very good, it surprised me quite a bit”, Alexsander, a tourist from Ukraine shared.

Tourists are excited when Phu Quoc "lights up"

Like European visitors, Patrick and Daria, an Australian couple, decided to spend a month in Phu Quoc, initially just to swim and relax before discovering “a dozen” nightlife experiences they had not tried here.

After walking around and taking pictures on the Kissing Bridge, Patrick and Daria bought tickets to the Kiss Of The Sea show. In the same row as them were German, Korean, Taiwanese (China) guests... rarely saw locals.

“Today is not the weekend, so even on weekends, there are still many Western, Korean, and Taiwanese customers. It’s both strange and fun,” said Ms. Luu Ha, manager of a hotel, cafe, and convenience store in Hoang Hon Town.

The Kiss of the Sea show combined with fireworks is the highlight of the night experience in Phu Quoc.

After a gloomy 2023, Phu Quoc tourism is expected to have a strong acceleration in the last months of the year, recording a significant improvement in the number of tourists and flights, especially the strong growth of new international routes.

With dozens of flights every day from many places around the world, it is no surprise that Phu Quoc has become a favorite place for international tourists to welcome the New Year. During the 3 days of the New Year, the island welcomed nearly 90,000 visitors, of course not only because of the beautiful nature with the most charming beaches on the planet, but also because of the attraction of the night markets, the series of New Year's countdown events, and spectacular fireworks displays in many places.

Phu Quoc has long been known as the Pearl Island of Vietnam because of its beautiful natural landscape and is famous for its pearl farming. The festive season at Sunset Town actually started early with the 24m high 'Lighting up the Starry Christmas Tree' event taking place at La Festa Square, located right next to the luxury hotel that has just entered the Phu Quoc market - La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton. Kiss Bridge creates a fever after being praised by international media

Kiss Bridge was officially inaugurated on December 22, expected to become a new tourism symbol of Vietnam like the "phenomenon" Golden Bridge at Sun World Ba Na Hills (Da Nang).
