Ha Tinh and Nghi Xuan cities won first prize in the Vi and Giam folk song festival.

The Vi and Giam folk song festival in Ha Tinh province ended successfully with first prize going to two Vi and Giam folk song clubs of Nam Ha ward (Ha Tinh city) and Nguyen Cong Tru (Nghi Xuan).

On the afternoon of July 17, at the Ha Tinh Cultural - Cinema Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the closing ceremony of the 2023 province-wide Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival.

Attending the closing ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Nhat Tan and representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

In his closing speech, Mr. Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, Deputy Head of the Festival Steering Committee affirmed: The Festival of Vi and Giam Folk Song Clubs in Ha Tinh province in 2023 has created a wide-ranging mass art playground with the participation of more than 400 artisans and actors from 13 typical clubs across the province.

The festival recognized the efforts of the clubs, artists and actors in bringing many elaborately staged performances. Besides attracting veteran artists, the festival was successful in attracting many promising young factors in the localities.

The festival's results are the driving force to promote the Vi and Giam folk singing movement to spread strongly in people's lives, contributing positively to the preservation and promotion of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs.

At the end of the festival, the organizing committee awarded 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes to the clubs; 15 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 8 third prizes for the performances participating in the festival.

Among them, the Vi and Giam folk song club of Nam Ha ward (Ha Tinh city) and the Nguyen Cong Tru folk song club (Nghi Xuan) both won first prize for the whole group.
