TPO - On February 13, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army came to encourage young men to join the army in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province at the 2025 Military Enlistment Ceremony.

In 2025, in carrying out the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, military agencies at all levels of Phu Tho province have done a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities to do a good job of propaganda and education to raise people's awareness of military recruitment; improve the quality of military service registration and management of citizens of military age.

The province focuses on recruiting citizens who have graduated from universities and colleges; recruiting children of ethnic minorities to create a source of grassroots cadres for the locality; recruiting soldiers with the motto "whoever is recruited is sure to be the person"; focusing on implementing the Army's rear policy well.

Thereby, directly contributing to improving the quality of citizens joining the army of the province on the criteria in 2025 higher than previous years.

Of which: 100% of citizens have good ideology, are healthy enough to perform military service and the obligation to join the people's police; more than 60% of citizens have participated in the Party target class and more than 40% of citizens have voluntarily applied to join the army.

In particular, 100% of citizens enlisted to perform military service and the obligation to join the people's police have a high school degree or higher, of which 15 citizens have college or university degrees.

Notably, among the citizens enlisted to perform military service, more than 60% of citizens volunteered, 55 citizens were children of officials and party members; 87.8% of citizens were between the ages of 18 and 21; nearly 70% had high school, college, or university degrees (including 68 citizens with college or university degrees).

In the solemn atmosphere of the Military Service Day in Viet Tri City, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet expressed his joy at the enthusiastic and enthusiastic spirit of the youth of Viet Tri City joining the army.

Representing the youth of Viet Tri City on their way to duty, new recruit Nguyen Hoang Anh, Nong Trang ward, Viet Tri City, expressed that he and the youths deeply understand that carrying out the task of protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; maintaining political security, social order and safety is the responsibility, honor and pride of the youth, carrying out the responsibility to the nation, to the country as beloved President Ho Chi Minh once advised: "The Hung Kings had the merit of building the country, we, Uncle and nephew, must work together to protect the country".

In the 2025 military enlistment period, Son Duong district has 265 new recruits joining the army, including 258 young men joining the military service and 7 young men joining the People's Public Security service. Notably, 50 young men volunteered to join the army.

Dang Tuyet Mai (An Tuong ward, Tuyen Quang city) could not hold back her tears when she saw her lover, new soldier Dang Xuan Cuong off to join the army. The two have been together for more than half a year, now they are temporarily apart so Cuong can fulfill his duty. "I hope you stay healthy and complete your mission well. I will be a strong support, waiting for you to return," Tuyet Mai choked up.

The entire Tuyen Quang province was assigned the target of sending 1,388 new recruits to join the military and police service. Of these, 1,150 new recruits will join the military service and 238 new recruits will join the police service.

In 2025, Yen Bai province was assigned the target of recruiting 1,369 citizens. Of these, 1,100 citizens were assigned to units of the People's Army; 269 citizens were assigned to units of the People's Police.
