Sharing with Tien Phong , Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Secretary of Lien Chieu District Youth Union said that the District Youth Union has coordinated with related units to launch the program "Letter to new soldiers" at 18 primary and secondary schools in the area.

Within 20 days, the Military Command and Lien Chieu District Youth Union received more than 2,000 letters and drawings with wishes and gratitude from students to new recruits.

Nguyen Hoang My Lam (class 5/3, Ngo Si Lien Primary School) sent a message: "We hope that you will always fulfill your duty of protecting the Fatherland so that we can study in a peaceful school."
Mr. Binh added that after receiving thousands of letters and drawings, the District Youth Union selected nearly 300, attached them to gifts to send to new soldiers leaving for military service.
Lieutenant Colonel Ton Long Dinh - Deputy Political Commissar and Political Director of Lien Chieu District Military Command acknowledged that this activity creates motivation, emotion and confidence for new soldiers to be ready to wear the green uniform. This is also a way to educate students and young people to always look towards the Fatherland, try to study hard, strive to become good children of Uncle Ho and contribute to building the country.
