TPO - In 2025, the Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) plans to reserve 30% of its enrollment quota for the combined review method of high school transcripts and IELTS or SAT, double last year's figure.

This year, the academy recruits 2,400 students in various fields.

The Academy of Journalism and Communication still divides training majors into four groups.

Group 1 includes journalism and publishing; group 2 is theory, group 3 is history, and group 4 includes communications, advertising, and international relations. The total enrollment target is 2,050, the same as last year.

The three admission methods remain stable, but the admission rate is adjusted.

Accordingly, the Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to reserve 20% of its quota for considering academic records, an increase of 5% compared to last year. Depending on the major, the admission score is the average score of 6 semesters plus the average score of Literature, History or English multiplied by a factor of two.

Candidates will receive an additional 0.1-0.5 points if they achieve IELTS from 5.0 or SAT from 1,200 or higher; 0.2-0.4 points if they have an encouragement prize for national excellent students or first, second, or third place at the provincial level.

The second method is to combine IELTS or SAT with academic records, accounting for 30% of the target, double that of 2023. Candidates with an average academic record score of 7 or higher for 6 semesters, IELTS of at least 6.5 or SAT of 1,200 can apply for admission.

However, group 1 requires an average score of 6 semesters of Literature of no less than 7; group 4 requires a minimum score of 7 in English.

The remaining 50% is for the high school graduation exam score method. Because the above two methods increase the quota ratio, decreasing by 20% compared to last year.

In addition to considering the total score of three subjects in the combination, the school allows students to convert the certificate score to replace the score of the English subject in the combination.
