On the morning of February 25, 1,356 young men of Da Nang City joined the army to fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland.

Of the 1,356 citizens enlisted this time, 1,058 were assigned to 13 military units (including 8 women); 298 were assigned to the Ministry of Public Security and Da Nang City Police.

The locality with the highest military recruitment rate in Da Nang this year is Lien Chieu district with a rate of 29.7%.

Nguyen Le Hoang Uyen (born in 2001, Hoa Khanh Bac ward, Lien Chieu district) said that her family has a revolutionary tradition, and she herself used to work at the Military Region 5 art troupe, so she decided to volunteer to join the army to have the opportunity to continue to contribute to the Army for a long time. "After working and studying in the Army for a while, I felt that this was an environment that helped me train very well. Also coming from a family with a tradition of both father and mother working in the Army, even though she graduated from university with a degree in tourism and had been working for a year, Nguyen Thuy Nga (born in 2000, Lien Chieu district) still decided to volunteer to join the army. "I wanted to follow in my parents' footsteps and join the Vietnam People's Army, so I volunteered to join the army and was lucky enough to be accepted," Thuy Nga said.

Tran Minh Quoc (born in 2002, Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district) graduated from college with a medical degree, was called up for military service this time and was selected. Quoc said that his family strongly encouraged him to join the army to contribute to the Fatherland and this was also an opportunity for him to train himself to become more mature. "I will try my best to complete my military service well and look for opportunities to work in military medicine in the future" - Minh Quoc expressed.
