Spring vegetable planting progress in Hai Duong is faster than last year.

According to the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, as of March 28, Hai Duong had 4 localities that had completed and exceeded the plan for growing spring vegetables in 2025.

Kinh Mon town has planted about 642 hectares (16.8% higher than the plan), Thanh Mien district 490 hectares (8.9% higher) and Binh Giang 325 hectares (1.6% higher).

Thanh Ha district has completed 100% of the plan by planting 850 hectares.

Regarding the area of ​​spring vegetables planted, Chi Linh City is leading the whole province with about 1,251 hectares planted; followed by Gia Loc district with 1,186 hectares, Kim Thanh 980 hectares, Nam Sach 900 hectares...

Compared to the same period in 2024, the progress of planting spring vegetables in Hai Duong is taking place faster. As of March 28, the whole province had planted about 8,834 hectares (reaching 88.3% of the plan), an increase of 1.1% over the same period last year.

Of the total spring vegetable area planted in Hai Duong, the area of ​​various green vegetables accounts for over 5,000 hectares. Vegetables grow and develop well, with fewer pests and diseases compared to the same period last year.

The weather from the beginning of the season until now has been basically favorable for growing vegetables. The crops grown in large quantities include corn (1,209 hectares), melons (1,277 hectares)... In some places, farmers have harvested tomatoes, various green vegetables, and cucumbers.

The Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Hai Duong province recommends that farmers ensure the harvest of spring vegetables is on time to ensure productivity and value. During this period, pay attention to preventing soft rot, silkworms, and flea beetles that damage crops.
