September: 16 events promoting Quang Ninh tourism

In the first 7 months of 2024, Quang Ninh province welcomed nearly 13 million tourists, an increase of 20% over the same period in 2023, including over 2.2 million international visitors, equivalent to the number of international visitors in the whole year of 2023. Quang Ninh tourism is returning to its golden age before the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the potential and advantages of tourism and on the basis of the strong growth rate of the tourism industry, Quang Ninh province has adjusted its target, determined to attract 19 million visitors in 2024, an increase of 2 million compared to the target set at the beginning of the year.

Of which, in the third quarter of 2024, the province strives to reach 5.51 million visitors; in the fourth quarter of 2024, it strives to reach 3.06 million visitors. Total tourism revenue in the last 6 months of the year strives to reach over 24,000 billion VND.

To achieve the set goals, the province has had many solutions, notably organizing nearly 100 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities in the province in the last 6 months of 2024, including 17 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities at international, national, and provincial levels; 76 programs, activities, and tourism stimulus events at local levels.

In September 2024 alone, it is expected that 16 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities will be organized. Notable among them are international, national, and provincial-level events such as: Vnexpress Marathon Amazing 2024; National Middle-aged and Senior Swimming Tournament; Quang Ninh Open Golf Tournament; National Diving Club Championship...

In addition, many units and localities with strengths in tourism development in the province also have large-scale festivals and events, expected to attract tourists, such as: Ha Long City organizes the Sailing, Parasailing, and Jet Ski Festival "Overcoming the Waves of Ha Long - 2024" and the Hot Air Balloon Festival "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long"; Co To District organizes the "King and Queen of the Sea" swimming competition; Dong Trieu Town organizes the An Sinh Temple Traditional Festival; Van Don District organizes the swimming and running 2-event sports competition; Tien Yen District organizes the Dong Rui Commune Traditional Boat Racing Festival...

These exciting sports, cultural and tourism programs and events promise to help Quang Ninh achieve its target of welcoming over 1.3 million tourists in September 2024.
