Notably, on March 31, a cluster of 8 cases was recorded among students in the same class at Tran Phu Secondary School (Thai Binh city).
The provincial Center for Disease Control has conducted monitoring, investigation, and sample collection for 7/8 cases showing symptoms of the disease (1 case whose family did not agree to sample collection). The results of all 7 samples were positive for measles.

Through monitoring, all cases showed symptoms of high fever, fatigue, and rashes scattered on the skin of the face, back, palms, and soles of the feet... Currently, the students are being monitored and treated at home by their families.
Faced with this situation, the Provincial Center for Disease Control recommends that schools actively coordinate with local health units to strengthen monitoring activities, early detection of cases to isolate and deploy appropriate epidemic prevention and control measures.

To prevent measles from spreading in the community, Thai Binh province has so far vaccinated 4,575/4,847 children aged 6-9, reaching a rate of 95.31%; 2,860/2,888 children aged 1-5, reaching a rate of 99.03% and 755/755 children aged 6-10, reaching a rate of 100%.
