On January 12, THACO coordinated with Vietnam Television and the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue to award the Road to Olympia scholarships for the first quarter of 2025 to 10 students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue, along with teachers and students from high schools in the province. THACO representative, Mr. Tran Cong Than - General Director of THACO AUTO Hue attended and awarded 10 scholarships, each worth 10 million VND to the students.
Sharing about the Road to Olympia Scholarship Fund, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue said: "The scholarship fund is not only material support but also a great motivation for students to continue their journey of conquering knowledge, striving to become excellent citizens".
As one of the scholarship recipients, Tran Thi Xuan Nhi - a 12B5 student at Vinh Loc High School (Vinh Hung Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province) confided: “My mother had cancer since she was pregnant with me. When I was in 3rd grade, she passed away. I am currently living with my uncle. Although he is not my biological parent, he still cares for and loves me.”
“I am very happy to receive the scholarship. Thanks to it, I can help reduce the financial burden on my family and focus on my studies. I will try harder to live up to everyone’s expectations and love for me,” Nhi added.
Previously, at the first quarter of the Road to Olympia 2025 competition, with his intelligence, agility and ability to seize opportunities, Le Quang Duy Khoa (Quoc Hoc Hue High School) excellently won the laurel wreath and will participate in the final round of the year. With this victory, Thua Thien Hue became the first destination of the Road to Olympia Scholarship Fund sponsored by THACO in 2025.
The Road to Olympia Scholarship Fund is a community activity under the Road to Olympia program implemented by Vietnam Television in collaboration with THACO and the Department of Education and Training of provinces and cities across the country. Accordingly, each province and city with a contestant winning the first prize of the Quarterly Competition will receive 10 scholarships (VND 10 million/scholarship) for students with difficult circumstances but making efforts to excel in their studies. Through scholarships, many students have overcome difficulties and continued to study hard to realize their dreams. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and promoting local development. |
