On the morning of August 29, the Department of Fisheries coordinated with the People's Committee of Krong Pac district to organize a ceremony to release fish fry to supplement and regenerate aquatic resources at Vu Bon lake (Vu Bon commune).
At the ceremony, 17,500 fish fry including grass carp, bighead carp, bighead carp, common carp, and perch were released into Vu Bon Lake by representatives of the Fisheries Department, union members, youth, and fishermen to supplement some native aquatic species that are at risk of decline.

Along with fish release activities, the Fisheries Department also propagates and disseminates the 2017 Fisheries Law; regulations on management, exploitation, and handling of violations in fishing with explosives, electric shocks, and toxic chemicals that destroy aquatic resources.

Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and action in implementing legal regulations on the protection and development of aquatic resources of the community; promoting the role and responsibility of the government, organizations and people in the protection and development of aquatic resources; maintaining ecological balance, improving the lives of people living in water bodies; gradually socializing the protection and regeneration of aquatic resources in the province.

It is known that from August 29 to September 8, 2023, the Department of Fisheries will organize 5 fish releases, with about 96,600 fish fry of various types in some large rivers and lakes in 5 districts: Krong Pac, H'leo, Krong Ana, Krong Nang and Lak.
This is an annual activity to contribute to the regeneration and restoration of resources and the diversification of aquatic species in natural waters in Dak Lak.
