Some of the six missing crew members are believed to have been inside the ship at the time of the accident, according to survivors.
The coast guard deployed divers to search, while mobilizing 19 coast guard vessels, three vessels from relevant government organizations and four aircraft.
According to ship operators, Seogyeong disappeared from radar at around 1:41 a.m. and survivors said the ship capsized due to bad weather.
