According to information from the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), from April 17, flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don of Vietnam Airlines will be transferred to terminal T3.

Terminal T3 will handle nearly 80% of all domestic flights arriving and departing at Tan Son Nhat Airport. Domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air will be transferred to Terminal T3. According to the records, the entrance lobby area is ready to welcome guests with a new look.
Terminal T3 has 8 conveyor lines, 6 departure baggage islands, 10 arrival baggage islands... The baggage conveyor systems, security screening machines, and passenger seats are in the final stages of completion.
With the goal of becoming one of the most modern and friendly terminals in the region, Terminal T3 is expected to contribute to improving service quality and affirming the position of Vietnamese aviation on the international map.
The T3 Passenger Terminal Project of Tan Son Nhat International Airport has a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND, with a capacity of 20 million passengers/year. The project started construction on December 24, 2022. Implementing the Government's direction, the project will be inaugurated and put into operation on April 30, 2025, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, shortening the progress by 6 months.
The terminal has 27 aircraft gates, of which 13 use telescopic bridges and 14 are served by buses; security at the terminal is enhanced with 25 passenger control gates and 8 modern security control gates.
The routes connecting Terminal T3 with the surrounding area and the existing passenger terminal at Tan Son Nhat are also completed. According to ACV, because Terminal T3 is separate from the domestic passenger terminal T1 and the international passenger terminal T2, traffic organization has also changed. To move from Domestic Terminal T1 and International Terminal T2 to Terminal T3, passengers can travel by technology car, taxi or shuttle bus arranged by Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Tan Son Nhat International Airport has developed a tentative plan to operate Terminal T3: In the immediate future, it is expected to operate domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. Domestic flights of the remaining 4 airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, and Pacific Airlines, will continue to operate at Domestic Passenger Terminal T1.
