Creating new momentum for the East Thang Binh region

Attract investment

Resolution No. 07 dated May 4, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on the development orientation of the Southeast region of the province to 2025, with a vision to 2030, is the foundation for Thang Binh to create momentum for the development of the Eastern region.

On July 19, 2021, Thang Binh District Party Committee issued Action Program No. 09, directing the District People's Committee and Party Committees of Eastern communes to manage planning, current status, construction order, land, environment and focus on implementing compensation, site clearance (GPMB), resettlement, creating clean land funds to implement key projects, attracting investment projects to the Eastern region.

Every year, the People's Council of Thang Binh district specifies the development goals of the eastern region of the district into socio-economic development resolutions for the People's Committee of the district and localities to effectively implement.

Thang Binh district regularly grasps the situation at the grassroots level, reviews, promptly reports and recommends to the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process to direct the removal, adjustment, promulgation and supplementation of regulations, policies and mechanisms, creating favorable conditions for the development of the Eastern region of the district and attracting investment.

The infrastructure of the East Thang Binh area is increasingly spacious. Many traffic routes have been invested in and put into use such as the project to expand Road 129 (Vo Chi Cong) phase 2, Binh Dao Bridge on National Highway 14E, Binh Nam 1 Bridge, Binh Nam 2 Bridge, upgrading DT.613 Road in Binh Duong Commune, upgrading DT.613B Road in Binh Minh Commune...

Currently, Thang Binh is focusing on site clearance and implementing the Binh Sa to Binh Hai bridge project, site clearance for component projects of 2 connecting roads from Vo Chi Cong street to Dong Que Son Industrial Park connecting with National Highway 14H and National Highway 1, the Central Region Connection Project of Quang Nam province...

The district has focused on calling for and promoting investment attraction. In recent times, the district has coordinated with provincial departments and branches to call for investment in developing many projects such as Vinpearl Nam Hoi An, Bliss Hoi An Beach Resort & Wellness, Hyosung Group's curtain fabric factory project, Capella Quang Nam Joint Stock Company's industrial park infrastructure investment project, etc.

Up to now, the projects have been put into operation, creating jobs, shifting the economic structure towards strong development of service, trade and industry sectors, contributing to the budget, creating a new look for the Eastern region, creating a driving force for socio-economic development for the district.

New momentum

Mr. Phan Cong Vy - Secretary of Thang Binh District Party Committee said that the important task of developing the Eastern region of the district from now until 2030 is to well manage planning, current status, construction order and land.

On the basis of focusing on implementing the District Planning until 2030 according to Decision No. 339 dated February 7, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee, Thang Binh coordinated with the Department of Construction to complete and submit for approval the general urban planning project of Binh Minh, striving to build Binh Minh commune to achieve the status of a type V urban area by 2025.

The district coordinated with the provincial authorities to research and establish the Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park project to contribute to socio-economic development and solve the abundant labor source of the locality.

Mr. Vo Van Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thang Binh district said that focusing on diversifying resources to invest in development and perfecting the infrastructure system in the Eastern region is an important task and solution to create spillover, motivation and resilience for socio-economic development.

Thang Binh mobilizes resources to develop infrastructure associated with restructuring the eastern economic region of the district towards services, tourism - industry - marine economy - agriculture, high technology.

The promotion and calling for investment in the Eastern region continues to be considered a key task by Thang Binh district. The locality accelerates promotional activities, introducing the environment, policies, and potential of the land to connect investment.

According to Mr. Vo Van Hung, the district will coordinate with departments and branches to carry out many in-depth cooperation and promotion activities with provinces and cities across the country; research and organize working delegations, exchange and learn experiences in attracting investment inside and outside the province.

The policy of Thang Binh district is to select capable and experienced investors to invest in and develop concentrated coastal tourist areas, high-end service, entertainment and resort areas with unique products to form a high-end coastal tourism and service chain, along the Truong Giang River and Vo Chi Cong route.

“Combining the development of community tourism to promote traditional craft villages, rural eco-tourism; developing beach resorts, entertainment, tourist seaports, sea squares, rural eco-tourism to create more momentum for the development of the eastern region of the district” - Mr. Hung said.
