Support free surgery for disabled children in difficult circumstances in Bac Kan

A team of experts organized a screening for children with disabilities in Na Ri district.

During this period, experts from Center II and doctors from Bac Kan province provided free screening for 118 children under 16 years old from districts and cities in the province. The children suffered from deformities such as cleft lip, cleft palate, torn lip, nasal defect; motor deformities; sequelae after burns; genital and anal deformities; ear, nose, throat deformities and benign tumors.

After 3 days of screening, experts and doctors selected 44 children who were eligible for surgery and treatment. All surgery costs, along with food and travel expenses during the treatment process, were covered free of charge.

This program not only provides opportunities to improve health and enhance the quality of life for disadvantaged children with disabilities, but also contributes to the implementation of the target program to protect, care for and improve children's health in the province./.
