Over the past 5 years, the program has coordinated information and propaganda, contributing to raising awareness among all classes of people and overseas Vietnamese about the position and role of the sea and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
On average, every year, the Navy's reporting force directly propagates to 1.3 million cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, people and students.
The Navy has welcomed over 6,000 reporters from news agencies and newspapers inside and outside the military to gain practical experience, collect propaganda materials on the activities of the Navy, and publish over 60,000 news articles and reports on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to the sea and islands...

Coordinate the organization of delegations to visit and encourage the soldiers and people of Truong Sa and the officers and soldiers of DK-I platform on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland. In particular, from 2019 to present, the Navy has organized to welcome domestic delegations and overseas Vietnamese to visit and encourage the soldiers and people of Truong Sa archipelago and DK-I platform, ensuring absolute safety. Through the trips, the delegates witnessed the reality, deeply perceived and understood the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
The dedication and sacrifice of the army and people on Truong Sa archipelago and DK-I platform have deeply impacted the sentiments of the delegates; aroused and promoted the strength of the entire political system. In particular, raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, people nationwide and overseas Vietnamese for the sea and islands of the Fatherland through practical and effective actions such as: Consulting and proposing many policies and solutions to promote economic and social development associated with ensuring national defense and security of the sea and islands; increasing resources to improve overall quality and combat readiness; improving the environment, living conditions and material and spiritual life of officers, soldiers and people...

In addition, the Party Committee and the Navy Command also coordinate with agencies, departments, branches and localities to deploy cultural and artistic activities, traditions, mass mobilization, search and rescue, defense diplomacy and implement military rear policies; combine propaganda about seas and islands with promoting propaganda to attract resources; Take care of training, perfecting, practicing, improving the qualifications and political capacity of reporters at all levels...
Based on the results of the preliminary conference, in the coming time, the Party Committee and the Navy will closely coordinate and implement to achieve and exceed the set goals and tasks in a comprehensive, in-depth, effective, practical and safe manner. Continue to research and innovate the content, form and methods of propaganda; review and supplement regulations, adjust, decentralize and assign tasks to agencies and units in charge of propaganda in appropriate areas.
Coordinate with 28 coastal provinces and cities to promote the implementation of Directive No. 32-CT/TW dated April 10, 2024 of the Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and sustainable development of the fisheries sector"; Directive 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the European Commission's warning on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing; continue to effectively implement the Program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea", the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children".
Continue to promote defense diplomacy propaganda on the sea; actively participate in conferences and seminars on territorial borders chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to propagate, provide information and legal basis on the East Sea; fight and refute false arguments distorting the truth about Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands.

For the Central Propaganda Department, develop a comprehensive strategy on propaganda work on seas and islands and proactively prepare legal basis elements to promptly serve the political, legal and diplomatic struggle to affirm sovereignty over seas and islands. Proactively forecast situations to have a plan to coordinate and synchronously propagate and struggle associated with situations at sea, in order to combine political, diplomatic and legal struggles with struggles on the ground. Direct the national reporting system and press agencies to further promote propaganda work on seas and islands.
When the situation at sea changes, it is necessary to promptly unify the content of the general propaganda orientation nationwide and direct the authorities to fight against false information about the sea and islands in cyberspace.
