On February 13, in Prague, the ASEAN Committee in the Czech Republic (ACP) donated food to the Czech Food Bank Federation. This is an annual charity activity of ACP to enhance the image of ASEAN in the Czech Republic.
The event was attended by Ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of 6 ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and the Director of the Czech Food Bank Federation. The Ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of 6 countries in ACP presented food and food products, many of which are produced in Vietnam and are currently circulating in the Czech market.
As the rotating chair of ACP, Thai Ambassador Suwat Kaewsook said that this is the fifth time ACP has organized this meaningful donation event. The event not only demonstrates the solidarity of ASEAN countries, but also shows ACP's commitment and responsibility in participating in charitable activities, thereby contributing to deepening the relationship between ASEAN countries and the Czech Republic. Mr. Suwat Kaewsook believes that ACP's donation activities can bring positive changes to the lives of people in difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Director of the Czech Food Bank Federation - Ms. Alena Gubičová expressed her respect and appreciation for the contribution of ACP. She said that the donation activities of ASEAN embassies in the Czech Republic to the bank have become a tradition over the years and have practical significance. She affirmed that these food items will be delivered to those in need, including women, children, families in difficult circumstances and immigrants in the Czech Republic.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam said that the Vietnamese Embassy has always actively participated in ACP's food donation activities to deliver to people in need. The items donated by the Vietnamese Embassy are the most essential items for people such as rice and food that can be used for a long time. According to the Ambassador, this event is very meaningful, not only demonstrating the solidarity and volunteer spirit of ASEAN countries, but also demonstrating the solidarity and friendship between ASEAN and the Czech Republic.
At the donation event, the Ambassador and representatives of ASEAN countries also visited the warehouse and discussed with representatives of the Czech Food Bank Federation about the specific needs of those in need of support, as well as the types of food that the organization is calling for support. The Czech Food Bank Federation has now established more than 15 charity support locations across the Czech Republic, supporting about 400,000 people in the Czech Republic and nearly 1,400 non-governmental organizations. The organization's goal is to collect food and distribute it to charities to help people in difficult circumstances.
