Strengthening cooperation between Bac Giang and Mie province (Japan)

At the reception, Comrade Nguyen Viet Oanh was delighted to welcome the delegation to visit and work in Bac Giang. He said: In recent years, with high determination in leadership and management, Bac Giang's annual economic growth rate has always been among the leading provinces in the country. The scale and economic potential have been significantly improved; the material and spiritual life of the people has been raised.

Implementing the Party and State's policies on economic, investment and trade cooperation with Japan, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Bac Giang province have focused on directing and effectively implementing tasks and solutions to promote cooperation with Japan in all fields, especially trade and investment.

Currently, Japan is the fourth country in terms of the number of investment projects in the province and the fifth in terms of total registered capital out of 30 countries and territories investing in Bac Giang.

Notable projects include: Electronic components manufacturing factory of Hosiden Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bac Giang) with a total investment of 115.9 million USD; the project of manufacturing and assembling pipes and wires for cars, motorbikes and other types of pipes of Nichirin Vietnam Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 42 million USD in Quang Chau Industrial Park; VSun Factory project of Vietnam Sunergy Joint Stock Company manufacturing, processing and assembling solar panels with a total investment of 51.3 million USD implemented in Dinh Tram Industrial Park...

Projects of Japanese enterprises, when put into operation, have made many contributions to the socio-economic development of the province, especially in economic restructuring, job creation, labor productivity increase, technology transfer and modern management experience.

Besides industry and services, Bac Giang is a province with a developed agriculture with many high-quality agricultural products, of which lychee has been accepted by the Japanese market. Participating in the delegation of Mie province this time is a Mie province enterprise preparing to start a project in Bac Giang. This is an important good start and premise for Mie province enterprises to pay attention to Bac Giang.

Bac Giang province commits to accompany and create all conditions for Mie province enterprises in particular and Japanese enterprises in general to learn and invest in Bac Giang, especially in the fields that Bac Giang province is promoting development such as: Industrial infrastructure, trade, services; electronics - semiconductor industry; high-tech agriculture; environmental projects, renewable energy development; projects in the field of processing and manufacturing industry with high technology content, causing little environmental pollution; building smart cities; trade, services...

Propose the working group to support the introduction and promotion of potential advantages, investment attraction policies in the fields of economics, trade, tourism, services, etc. of Bac Giang province to Japanese partners. Support Bac Giang province in trade promotion activities, market development, expansion, and promotion of the province's goods export to Japan.

At the meeting, Mr. Noguchi Tadashi said: Bac Giang province and Mie province have many similarities, especially in terms of area and population, favorable conditions for the development of forestry, fisheries, and fruit trees. Mie is also a province that develops high-tech agriculture such as applying gene technology, microbiology technology, and post-harvest preservation technology to agriculture.

Mie Prefecture is famous for its development of processing, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries, especially the electronics industry, which has been ranked first in Japan for 19 consecutive years. The province also has advantages in developing the automobile industry.

There are currently 25 Mie prefecture enterprises investing in Vietnam, the delegation is very interested in the investment environment as well as the current Bac Giang market. Representatives of Mie prefecture enterprises hope that Mr. Noguchi Tadashi will be a bridge with the Bac Giang provincial government, thereby being more connected to invest in production and business as well as cooperate in the fields of culture and tourism.
