Just 15 minutes of light exercise on the spot can help office workers fight the harmful effects of 8 hours of sitting at work.

The results showed that after just 2 hours of continuous work, mental state scores began to decrease and stress levels increased. After 4 hours of continuous work at the desk, workers' stress levels increased significantly by 18%.

However, researchers have also found ways to reverse the damage.

Specifically, they also found that just 15 minutes of exercise during the workday helped office workers improve their mental state by 22.5%.

And moving in place every day for a week reduced stress levels by 14.7%, increased productivity by 33.2%, and improved concentration by 28.6%.

At the same time, they felt 33.3% more relaxed, 28.6% calmer and more energetic, according to Express.

Interestingly, a whopping 79.2% of people said they would be more loyal to their employer if they had time to exercise regularly.
